Transhumance / ascent and descent of herds to the alpine pasture

The festival of Transhumance in Saint Etienne represents traditional life in the High Country of Nice.

A great day with the passage of the herd of 2000 heads in the streets of the village. Animal exhibitions, craft stands, animations (sheep shearing, free museum visits (old dairy, the communal oven and the kitchen of yesteryear, the school of yesteryear), the manufacture of churn butter and sheep collars, wool woodworking, horse rides, cable car up and down free, the Petit Bois des Lutins, the body of water ....
