EXHIBITION - NAMES OF GODS! ANCIENT SURREALISM BYCÉSAR MALFI
27 MAY - 24 SEPTEMBER 2023
In the setting of the famous remains of the ancient city of Cemenelum (current district of Cimiez), "Names of Gods" marks history.
For the first time, the Museum of Archaeology of Nice becomes the playground of a street artist: César Malfi.
At 27 years old, César MALFI, known for his anachronistic mural masterpieces with disproportionate formats, interprets with panache a high place of history. "Urban space is a plastic support in its own right, whether we are in the 21st century or antiquity," he tells us. Beyond his young experience, he offers us a plastic illustration of history charged with maturity. The young artist questions the place and role of deities in the public space by waltzing on modern notes a ball of ancient divinities.
