LE CIRQUE DU SOLEIL - CORTEO

Corteo which means "procession" in Italian is a joyful procession, a festive parade imagined by a clown. Corteo's troupe of artists is made up of 51 acrobats, musicians, singers and actors from all over the world.

Combining acrobatic prowess, comedy and acting, Corteo plunges the viewer into a theatrical universe imbued with playfulness and spontaneity, located in a strange space between heaven and earth.

In a carnival atmosphere, the clown evokes his own funeral, under the attentive gaze of a flock of benevolent angels. Opposing the big and the small, the ridiculous and the tragic, the magic of perfection and the charm of imperfection, the show appeals to the strength and fragility of the clown, but also to his wisdom and tenderness, to illustrate the part of humanity in each of us. Carried by sounds sometimes lyrical, sometimes funny, Corteo is a timeless party where illusion tickles reality.

The design and layout of the stage transports the viewer into a theatrical atmosphere never seen in an arena at Cirque du Soleil, setting the table for Corteo's poetic universe. The curtains surrounding the stage, inspired by the Eiffel Tower, and the hand-painted curtains give a grandiose look to the scene.

Performance hours on Thursday and Friday at 9:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at 17:30 and 21:30.
