STEVE TAVITIAN EXHIBITION
LOU BABAZOUK GALLERY
OCTOBER 27 -15 NOVEMBER 2020
SinceAugust 2019, the Lou Babazouk Municipal Gallery has hosted exhibitions by local amateur and professional artists. Intended to be the gallery of all talents that reveals the diversity and richness of artists, it contributes to the policy of support for cultural promotion put in place by the City of Nice.
Until November 15, 2020, artist Steve Tavitian will exhibit at the Lou Babazouk Gallery.
Born in 1939 in Paris, Steve Tavitian prepared, at Guillaume Met de Penninghen, the entrance competition at the School of Crafts in Paris, where he was admitted at the age of 16. He then moved to Nice where he frequented the young painters of the Nice School: Bernar VENET, FHARI, SHUBAC, BEN, etc. While practising as an antique dealer in Paris and Trouville, the practice of drawing remains his Violin of Ingres. Definitely settled in Nice where he can give free rein to his inspiration, he presents Nus with a mastered classical style and at the same time very free. He also devotes himself to oil painting, seeking in our Azure landscape to vibrate the color and sing poetry. Steve Tavitian has participated in numerous exhibitions, and won the1st prize in the Competition of the European Academy of Graphic, Plastic and Photographic Arts, in 2012. Her exhibition at the Lou Babazouk gallery presents her obsessive search for beauty in our landscapes around Nice, and women through her nude drawings.

The Lou Babazouk gallery has already welcomed the following artists: Jo Guichou, Geneviève Bozec, Tina De Rubia, Danielle Botbol, Richard Roux Giuge, Valérie Cheno, Odile Bourel, Manuel Gilson, Pascale Batteau, Ararat Petrossian, Walter Hergenrother, Marie Genin, Lionel Bouffier, Agnès Jennepin.
