Christian Estrosi, Mayor of Nice, President of the Nice Côte d'Azur Metropole, Deputy President of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur Region, under the leadership of Jean-Luc Gag, Municipal Councillor delegated to literature, the fight against illiteracy and Nice language, wanted to promote local literary creation and affirm its support for the regional bookstore and publishing by offering them a showcase in the Raoul Mille Municipal Library.

That's why, in partnership with the Association of Publishers Alpes-Côte d'Azur and the Association of Booksellers of Nice, a new monthly literary event has been initiated by the City of Nice: Nice and You. One Tuesday a month, writers come to talk about Nice, its history, its heritage, its literature and its culture in an atmosphere of literary coffee. A moment of sharing and exchange between the public, local writers and their work.
