Only 25 years old and already 9 international awards!
Born in Seoul in 2000, Jeonghwan KIM
He started playing the piano at the age of six.
In the following years, his
many first prizes won at the
national competitions have enabled him to join the
the Seoul Arts Center Academy for
talented young musicians at only
nine years. Since moving to Berlin in
2011, he continued to distinguish himself in many
prestigious
Contest
national
and
international agreements.
At the Franz Liszt Youth Competition
pianists from Weimar in 2017, he was awarded the
third prize as well as two special prizes.
In 2019, he won the 1st Prize at the Aarhus International Competition in Denmark, which earned him
to be immediately invited to perform with the Aarhus and Odense Symphony Orchestras.
He has since given concerts in major halls in Berlin, Weimar, Hamburg, and Aarhus, among others.

In January, the First Prize at the Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy Competition in Berlin
In June, he won the fourth prize and the audience prize at the Sendai International Competition.
In July 2023, he won the First Prize as well as two Special Prizes for his interpretation of the
Bartok's Second Concerto and the Best Concerto Prize at the prestigious International Competition of
Sydney.
In 2025, he won the first prize and the prize for the best performance of a work
at the Bartok World Competition in Budapest.
He has performed in prestigious halls such as the Berlin Philharmonic, the Wigmore Hall in
London, the Sydney Opera House, the Dubai Opera House and the Seoul Arts Centre.
Since 2017, Jeonghwan has been studying at the Hans Eisler University of Music in the professor's class
Konrad Maria Engel. Former teachers include So Yong Choi, Leda Kim and other professors.
