EUROPE. A rich programme of conferences and culinary demonstrations (see details under the "agenda" tab) and a lounge dedicated to Italian cuisine and tableware will enrich the event. As Agostino Pesce, director of the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Nice, explains, "Italy at the table is moving away from the 'fair' dimension and is confirmed as a cultural event with open spaces suitable for the amusement of the public and the organisation of professional meetings. A perfect opportunity to discover the best of flavours, but also the history, culture and tourist offer of our peninsula, capable of transmitting our way of life to the simply curious as well as professionals in the sector".
Children will not be forgotten, because, in collaboration with Sodexo and the city of Nice, an Italian menu designed specifically for the occasion will be served to the 22,000 children of Nice's 105 kindergartens and elementary schools. Educational workshops presenting the secrets of simple and healthy cooking will also be offered throughout the week.
The chefs of the association "Les Toques brûlées" will interpret in their own way some of the best Italian recipes.
