An environmental installation, processual and immersive an artist of the most original and libertarians of his generation.

Prosecutor logic began with Yona Friedman (summer 2016); Vivien Roubaud (winter - spring of 2017); Noël Dolla (summer 2017) and Dominique Ghesquière (winter 2017-18), the Gallery of the Ponchettes becomes the new territory of a carte blanche given to an artist. Placed on the seafront, rich of a strong story with artists (Henri Matisse and Pierre Bonnard work with Nice to make a gallery of contemporary art from 1950 - Klein, Raysse and Arman are exposed in 1967), the Gallery of the Ponchettes is now thought of as an experimental space for artists while assuming a strong link with the programming of the MAMAC.

Born in Monaco in 1966, Michel Blazy observes and works with the living. Its scalable and ephemeral works give to see experiments in changing. Small, low-tech Michel Blazy activities let the life of things. They are the wonder by unexpected paths, give to see the process of transformation, mutation and proliferation. Thus, the artist draws in the Crispers: he piles up orange skins to create mountains of sculptures-mushrooms, dore sprouted onions to give it the appearance of a vanity valuable, makes sumptuous frescoes with beet puree. More recently, at the Biennale of Lyon (2015) or Venice (2017), weeds Nestle in pairs of shoes and mobile phones.

Echoing the Cosmogonies exhibition at the MAMAC deploying a constellation of artists on the apprehension of natural phenomena, Michel Blazy is invited to produce an environmental and immersive installation at the Gallery of the Ponchettes. This sensitive exploration of microorganisms, by their appearance, smell, colour, consistency, works as an invitation to a journey extraordinary and unforgettable, from the servant and the natural to the imaginary. In this precarious world where technology is doomed to obsolescence, life takes over, filigree gives to grasp the future in an economy of gestures and means outlining a way of being in the world.
