In 1891 Jean ROUMEGOUS, former sailor in the long run, second his son JULES to lead two activities: fishing and oyster farming. JULES ROUMEGOUS transmits the love of his trades to his son EUGENE who, more particularly interested in oysters, develops more intensely the breeding. Thanks to the transmission of the love of this profession, JEAN ROUMÉGOUS, his son François then his grandson Adrien and Jules have made the oyster ROUMEGOUS the fine flower of the basin of Marennes-Oléron.
