Geological walk in Nice Cape

OCTOBER 28, 2020 - 2 P.M.

In front of the restaurant La Réserve
60 Franck Pilatte Boulevard
Nice

After a historic tour of the Cap de Nice and the Lazaret, Vu pas Vu offers you a visit this time... Scientific! Until now, our goal has been to go back to the origins of the neighborhood... this time we will go back even further than the Belle Epoque, that is to say at the time of the geological formation of the Cape of Nice!

You will learn in particular why the Cape of Nice has this particular aspect, with its chaotic and fractured white rocks! This walk will also be accompanied by comments on the particular flora of Nice, as well as readings of landscapes.

This walk will follow the path of a great loop: we will go down Pilatte Boulevard in order to reach the cave of Lazaret; then we will go up Jean Lorrain Boulevard to Carnot Boulevard. From there, we will take a long staircase to reach the coastal path, which we will follow in its entirety until we return to Pilatte Boulevard at Coco Beach about.

Warnings:

- Bring walking shoes

- Some parts of the route will be more "sporty": we will take the Jean Lorrain climb, as well as a long steep staircase from Carnot Boulevard to reach the coastal path. So remember to bring a bottle of water!
