In-Out Nice 2020 will be an opportunity to celebrate a very great filmmaker who since the beginning of the festival has never ceased to occupy a central place in our programming.

Thanks to a beautiful collaboration with the Cinematheque of Nice, we offer you a retrospective of the delicate and passionate work of Sébastien Lifshitz who will be present for an inaugural master class.

The trans question - luminously embodied by so many beautiful faces: those of the young Sasha (Little Girl), Marie-France Pruvot (Bambi), Stephanie Michelini (actress of Wild Side, awarded the Michel Simon Prize for this role) - irrigates all the cinema of Lifshitz. She is also at the heart of our programming thanks to the rebel quartet Of Terror, My Sisters!, the burning of Alexis Langlois, as well as in the words of Anne-Gaelle Duvochel (author and performer of her only-in-scene In the Skin of the Panther) or the photographs of Lou and Nathalie (A gentle transgression beyond the genre).
