On Saturday, May 16 and Sunday, May 17, 2020 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., exhibitors, rose gardeners, nurserymen, professionals from the world of gardens gather in the French Garden to offer their most beautiful flowers and plants to garden lovers.
On the weekend of May 16 and 17, 2020, to celebrate the arrival of Spring, Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild celebrates the rose. During the Festival of Roses and Plants, visits, workshops, sales of handicrafts and exchanges with exhibitors-producers are organized. Discover a magical decoration and colorful programming (workshops, animations, meetings) to live an unforgettable experience with family or friends.
The event brings together rose gardeners and professionals from different backgrounds (Var, Isère, Catalonia and Italy) to share their passion for their respective traditional crafts and know-how. Furniture, gardening tools and accessories, products related to the world of cosmetics and gastronomy are also presented.
In Search of the Lost Rose: The "Rose Beatrice Ephrussi", created in 1911 by Paul Nabonnand, a renowned rose gardener, in homage to the Baroness is now gone. In 2019, the Villa launched the "Rose Beatrice Ephrussi" project, to make this unrivalled rose bloom again. Gardeners, lecturers, principals and employees have already made progress on this long creative process, the stages of which you can discover.
The discovery of the gardens of the Villa and their biological maintenance: Villa Ephrussi is surrounded by nine gardens, recognized by the label "Remarkable Garden". The gardeners of the Villa are engaged in the eco-responsible maintenance of these green spaces. The head gardener reveals some secrets of chemical-free treatment.
New 2020: Creating a children's space: children are in the spotlight for this new edition with numerous interactive workshops and fun animations, allowing them to discover the world of life and nature.
