"I always felt a kind of misunderstanding when, in my life after my childhood, friends with whom I dined at the restaurant told me that they had "no more money" while we were at the restaurant and they were getting ready to pay for dinner. Ten years earlier, when I heard my mother say "more money", it meant that there was nothing left in her little leather wallet, and that one would have to go knock on the door of one of my aunts who lived a few houses away from us so that she would not you give a packet of pasta and grated cheese. By my class affiliation, by my origins, my definitions of "more money", nothing, emptiness, nothingness, differed radically, and politics played a decisive role in the place of emptiness."
