To conclude this season, the ensemble Baroque proposes to reconnect with the Concerto Grosso of Georg Friedrich Handel, a prolific composer, an outstanding virtuoso and an author of more than six hundred works. Handel is no less inventive and attentive to the countries he crossed. His oratorios, operas and instrumental works all come from the Italian technique. In tribute to Corelli, an Italian violinist and composer, the concertos Grossi Opus VI are written on the model of the Concerto da Chiesa and the Concerto da camera. Despite this conventional choice, Handel incorporated a great variety of tunes, fugues, themes and variations. A synthesis all Baroque in sum, old and new.
