The new hanging from the collection of the national museum Marc Chagall puts forward the Mediterranean work of the artist, who moved to Vence in 1949 then at Saint-Paul-de-Vence in 1966, where he remained until the end of his life
The masterpieces of the collection including The blue circus or Dance found their place on the walls. They see the last acquisitions of the Museum, including the first lithographs Chagall, dating from 1922, and a whole new ceramics.
These ceramics acquired by the Museum in 2017 meet pieces of private collections, shown for the first time to the public since their creation in the Madoura workshop in Vallauris. A presentation of the light sculptures of Marc Chagall, preserved at the Museum, complete this Riviera panorama.
