23rd Edition the sails of Antibes
Trophy Panerai from May 30 to June 3, 2018

Created in 1996, the sails of Antibes held each year during the first week of June, mark the opening of the Mediterranean for the Yachts of Tradition and the metric Classes thus circuit as the first step of the Panerai Classic Yachts Challenge.

Held at the very beginning of season, host the sails of Antibes - Panerai trophy, annually, a selection of the most beautiful Yachts of time (built before 1950), classic (built before 1976) and spirit of Tradition Yachts as well as the metrics Classes (6 MJI, 8MJI and the 12 competing America's Cup from 1958 to 1987 MJI), that have shaped since the end of the 19th century, the great history of International Yachting.

For most participants, this prestigious gathering, represents the first major event of the year. Spring back, the boats have joined their ties in the Mediterranean ports. Some have been revisions or improvements based on their ratings to maximize their performance, others have been sold or changed their crews. As a result, participants are renewed each year around a hard core of mythic boats such as Ikra, Thendara, Lelantina, Cambria or Tuiga who have, since long, present at all regatta. Each year, between five and fifteen vessels, that is not known or has not seen for some time, reappear. They come out of restoration or renovation. Antibes is the first gathering of the season, the Mariners, owners and crews discover and tell new stories that contribute to the party ashore.

Appreciated for the quality of its racing (Match-Race for the metric classes and coastal courses,) along the 23 km of coastline between the bays of Antibes and Juan-les-Pins for other classes) and for the great conviviality that reigns back to land, the sails of Antibes - Panerai trophy are without a doubt one of the lighthouses of the me circuit events congregates.

But the sails of Antibes - trophy Panerai, it is also in the purest tradition of Yachting, 5 days of entertainment and conviviality back at the dock. The reception on the ground is certainly the warmest of the circuit. Organized around a village designed on the theme of the celebration and conviviality. Antibes, famous in the world integer for its Jazz festival, had to associate the music with the sail. With every day from 9:00 to 22:00 in many exhibitions and animations on the themes of the sea and the environment but also of cocktails, concerts, parades and many other surprises and challenges that every night life in joy and the good mood the Village of the sails and the Port Vauban, 1 Marina in Europe.

The Voiles d'Antibes also have an educational role by putting in place every year educational and sports tours for youth (able-bodied and disabled) to become familiar with the world of the sea in general and the world of sailing in particular and to inform them about the defense of our heritage and our marine environment.
