The Rusca Palace was built in 1775, and intended to house the garrison of the city. It remained a military barracks until 1990, and today it is the Court of Instance in Nice.
The Clock Tower was the symbol of secularized communal power capable of distributing time on an equal footing with religious power.
You can discover these two buildings from the Place du Palais de Justice, as you will not be able to enter them.

Classified as a historical monument in 1976.
