The Museum of Fine Arts in Nice, known as the "Palais des Arts Jules Chéret" is housed in a magnificent house built in the 19th century at the initiative of a Russian princess.
The collections of painting and sculpture that can be discovered there range from the 16th to the 20th century; to name but a few artists: Bronzino or B. Zenale in the 16th, Jan Brueghel de Velours in the 17th, H . Fragonard and the Vanloo in the 18th century, J.B Carpeaux and orientalist painters in the 19th century, then J.Chéret, G-A Mossa for the Belle Epoque, and finally R. Dufy in the 20th century.
