The Russian Orthodox Cathedral of St. Nicholas, inaugurated in 1912, is one of the most important and oldest Russian Orthodox buildings outside Russia. The real estate and furniture complex is classified as a "Historic Monument"
It is inspired by the style of Moscow churches; the interior has a very rich decoration, decorated with multiple icons, frescoes, carved woodwork and an iconostasis of repulsed and chiseled metal.
Five years of work carried out both inside and outside were necessary to restore its luster and splendour to St. Nicholas Cathedral. It is one of the most visited sites on the Côte d'Azur (273,427 visitors in 2010 - Source: CRT Riviera Côte d'AzurObservatory), this emblematic and masterful building will take its place as a jewel of the Nice landscape.
