Bellet's wine "Collet de Bovis" is produced at the Fogolar estate, which is located on the edge of an ancient Roman road.
Among the vineyards of the salting, it is the one that is located the most southerly and enjoys a particularly favorable wind regime.
The estate overlooks the Var Valley to the west and the sea to the south. The first vines were planted in 1974.
Successive extensions have brought the property to 4.5 hectares.
The family-type operation is run by Jean SPIZZO, a former university professor who specializes in Italian theatre and literature. The name "Fogolar" given to the estate testifies to its Friulian origins.
Medals and citations in the guides came to consecrate the quality of the wines of the "Collet de Bovis". The wine is exported to Great Britain and has counted among its customers Alain Ducasse.
For Jean SPIZZO, great wines are part of the cultural heritage, and art naturally combines with vines.
Thus the "Fogolar" hosts in the summer of painting exhibitions and theatrical performances.
