MEDITERRANEAN (C.U.M) UNIVERSITY CENTER
Place of memory and prestige, the Mediterranean University Center (M.U.C.) offers public lectures, concerts, and conferences.
Created in 1933 (its first Director was Paul Valéry), the ULC was until 1965 an intellectual and cultural space. He then served at the installation of the new nice before turning again, University today, a center of Exchange and expression.
A pretty Palace, white and red, on the Promenade des Anglais. At the threshold, two palm trees. Right, the memory of the pine of Marie Bashkirtseff, who threw a slight shadow on the large window of the library office of Paul Valéry. Inside, a worthy case jewel: the finished pavement and prosecutors meets the art of woodwork, a modern secretariat, a Conference Hall, with ice cream, gold and ochre Pompeian, made to accommodate the elite of intellectuals. Finally, an amphitheatre, considered to be the most beautiful of France.
This House dedicated to the cult of the spirit has equal its pretensions. It is the meeting place for the leading spirits of the world. The Mediterranean University Center today remains a unique institution of its kind and offers a rich cultural scene through the literature, philosophy, history, the arts and sciences.
