The Lenval hospital pediatric emergency service is the first pediatric emergency of the PACA region, Trauma Center Level 1, open 7/7 and 24/24.

The service hosts more than 60,000 children a year from birth to 18. It is composed of a multidisciplinary medical team and a technical platform operational 24/24 including a laboratory biological analysis, an image (standard, ultrasound service, MRI scanner), with interpretation by a team of Radiologists pediatricians.

The Department is located on the mezzanine level with a car drop-off.

It has a reception with administrative area and the sorting box, an area for the medical emergencies of a wait lying, an area for surgical emergencies, and a room host of vital emergency (save).

The medical team is made up of 12 paramedics, pediatricians, a surgeon pediatric and 2 psychologists, as well as internal and medical students who work under their responsibility. The service works closely with the referents specialized in different areas of Pediatrics.

The service has a unit of hospital short duration (UHCD) 7 beds, a Pediatric Unit Medico-judiciaire (round-the-clock) and a consultation health precarious environment, as part of the PASS, permanence of access to health care.

The para-medicale team is composed of nursing teachers, nursery nurses and childcare auxiliary.

The care pathway
