The Louis NucéraLibrary, which pays tribute to the writer from Nice, is located in the extension of the paillon promenade and the Museum of Modern Art; it is overlooked by the now famous Tête Carrée imagined by the sculptor Sacha Sosno, and whose architectural originality makes it one of the strong symbols of Nice.
It is built around a large central nave, and is organized on a principle of spaces: there is an adult library, a children's library, a news space, a video library, a multimedia space with Internet access, a library a 110-seat auditorium and a temporary exhibition space.
More than 200,000 documents are open access (books, periodicals, cassettes, CDs, Roma CDs, DVDs, scores, etc.). The library also participates in cultural events.
Two of the 20 computer stations available are equipped with software that allows blind and visually impaired people to have access to the catalogue and the internet. A "reading machine" and a teleaglider make it possible to read documents on site.
Access to the library is free forall. The free reader card is essential for borrowing documents, viewing on site, access to multimedia space and wifi.
Call the Library for any specific information.
