A beautiful story

1947 Rose Repetto creates on the advice of her son Roland Petit, her first dance slippers, in a workshop located a stone's throw from the Opéra National de Paris.

1956 At the request of Brigitte Bardot, Rose Repetto creates the Cinderella ballerinas that she dedicates to him. BB associates them forever with his glory, in the film "And God Created Woman".

1959 Rose Repetto sets up her first shop at 22 rue de la Paix. This new address becomes the landmark of the world's greatest stars. From Béjart, Nureyev, Baryshnikov, Carolyn Carlson, the Kirov to the Folies Bergères, all supply themselves with ballerinas and dance outfits...

1964 Léonor Fini stylizes the famous logo.

1967 To ensure the development of its business, Rose Repetto establishes the cradle of its manufacture in St Médard d'Excideuil, Dordogne. The factory is still today the place where the tips and ballerinas are made according to the method of "sewn-returned" with the utmost dexterity.

1970's Serge Gainsbourg falls under the spell of Zizi, a model that Rose Repetto had created for her daughter-in-law Zizi Jeanmaire, and becomes an ambassador for the brand.

2010 Curtain-raising on The Repetto Workshop. This exceptional service offers every woman the opportunity to create her personalised and unique ballerinas from a range of 252 shades of lamb. The colours of the stems, borders and lacettes are assembled entirely by hand and according to each one's aspirations.

2012 For the first time, Maison Repetto offers a ready-to-wear collection, inspired by the dancer's wardrobe. The iconic, timeless and pure pieces tell the story of the feminine, light and graceful look. That of a body with sublimated movement. The repetto wardrobe's designs evoke the purity, discipline, lightness and grace of the classical dancer. It is a subtle, delicate femininity that reveals itself.

2013 Repetto launches its first Perfume, Eau de Toilette, a delicate blend of Pear and Cherry Blossom, Rose and Orange Blossom, and Vanilla and Amber Wood. It subtly evokes the grace, lightness and femininity of star dancers. In 2014, it's the turn of Eau de Parfum to make its debut.
