The INTERNATIONAL MUSEUM OF NAIVE ART - Anatole Jakovsky is located at St. Helena's Castle, surrounded by a large park with rare species.
Thanks to the prestigious donation of Anatole and Renée Jakovsky, the museum presents a unique panorama of a little-known art, described as "naïve" because spontaneous, individual privileging the inner vision of the painter, which invites each visitor to an imaginary journey.
We can thus discover the history of naive painting from the eighteenth to the present day. Paintings, sculptures, drawings, posters, trace the evolution of this art through the works of the most famous painters: Bauchant, Bombois, Vivin, Séraphine, Rimbert, Lefranc, Rabuzin, Ivan and Josip Généralic, Lackovic, Grandma Moses, O'Brady, Haddelsey, Ligabue, Vivancos, the Douanier Rousseau ....
