Discover the history of perfume, an olfactory experience
Since the world is world, humanity has surrounded itself with smells. Whether they are messengers for the Divine, protectors of our health or artifices of our seduction, they surround us on a daily basis. After discussing the evolution of perfumery over the course of history, we will approach it on a more technical level, by addressing the raw materials used, their extraction methods and their reproduction. Finally, we will discover some of the most striking creations of the past century. This lecture is illustrated with a slideshow and olfactory touches.
