Exposure through this strong link between Nice and the jazz led in 1917, in different palaces, cabarets and emerging clubs, American musicians to join the cultural life in Nice with their music,.
Over time, the biggest names in jazz marched on the stages of our city while in 1976, the class of the Conservatory of Nice jazz brings together and form the famous nursery Nice Jazz, and that the "Jazz for three seasons" moved to the room of Grappelli s 1982. It is as well as the largest international jazz musicians such as Miles Davis, Lionel Hampton, Dizzy Gillespie return regularly to Nice while a generation of Nice jazzmen such as Barney Wilen and André Ceccarelli, exported all over the world. This story is told through iconographic documents (posters, photographs...), sound (vinyl, cd...), video (excerpts from concert, interviews...), tools, graphics, programs, booklets...
