On the occasion of the festivities of the end of the year, the OPN takes US to the United States with a 100% George Gershwin program.

Scorned by the so-called "classical" composers and refused by jazzmen, Gershwin was a composer in the image of his country: a compendium of experiences, a crossroads of cultures and styles. His mixture of influences blues, jazz, symphonic, film music issued us a new Alchemy of melodies, a mechanism that still works great.
The color of the program will be announced by the gleaming Cuban opening where "exotic" drums swept the size of traditional Orchestra. Young Hungarian talent Jozsef Balog will perform us two partitions that have toured the world: the Concerto in f, created in 1925 at Carnegie Hall and an American in Paris in 1928. The work was inspired by Gershwin stay in Paris. It evokes the places and the life of the French capital in the 1920s.
