This weekend at the Francis-Gag Theatre, discover "Garibaldi, know not!", creating 2017 Corou de Berra, first company in residence at the Pole Nice Theater - Arts alive having benefited from the aid to the creation put in place by the city of Nice for support professional companies!
Between legend, romance, historical facts, this real rewritten show false history of Garibaldi. He staged the teeming life of Garibaldi, picaresque hero having crossed the history of several countries. Giuseppe Garibaldi, hero of the two worlds, was born in Nice on July 4, 1807. It is the hope of all the youth. A legendary character... An epic... The show begins with a leak, Garibaldi and two companions: Gambetta and Grosso. This comic duo will punctuate the steps of history in counterpoint. They follow the hero. They do not understand but have faith in him. Others revolve around Garibaldi: a teacher, the mother Rosa, the horse of Garibaldi and enemies represented by a single character which symbolizes power.
"Garibaldi, know not!" is a show where polyphonic choir, music and puppets meet and share the stage. It is the fruit of an encounter between the Corou of Berra, professional Cappella polyphonic singing training created in 1986, Serge Dotti and Aurélie Péglion, references for puppets.
