The Swiss flutist Eva Oertle occurs throughout Europe as a soloist and chamber musician. She plays with orchestras of international fame such as Il Giardino Armonico or Al Ayre Español. She gives recitals in large rooms of concerts like the Gaveau Hall in Paris, the Gewandhaus in Leipzig and the Musikverein in Vienna. It has occurred as a soloist with the Streichorchester Brandenburgischem, the Orchestra of the Festival in Davos and the Festival Strings Lucerne and undertook tours of concerts in Germany, Italy, Spain and South America. "Undine" and "Lake Reflections", the CD published under the Sony Classical label, was strongly praised by music press. Eva Oertle studied the modern flute at the Musikhochschulen in Freiburg and Basel with Janek Rosset, Felix Renggli and Peter-Lukas Graf. His interest in historical performance practice led her then at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis and then in London with Rachel Brown.
Eva Oertle is also moderator and musical editor at the Radio Switzerland SRF2.
