Series of eight lectures on prehistory

As every year, the Museum of archaeology of Nice - Terra Amata site - organizes a thematic cycle of conferences with the support of the friends of the Museum, the CEPTA.

This year, we wanted to explore original themes at the margin of the prehistory: science fiction, cryptoanthropologie, imaginary animals, etc. for original and offbeat look at this discipline.

One might think that everything against the imaginary of science fiction and prehistoric times. Yet the future and the past distant come together under the pen of many authors: J. H. Rosny senior, Arthur Conan Doyle, Arthur C. Clarke, Ray Bradbury, Robert Silverberg, Pierre Pelot, etc. Some even like Francis Carsac, pen name of François Bordes, were both author and paleontologist. Bizarre may these prehistories revisited, but our very first steps of hominids were not outlined under the infinite skies?
